TANNUKI Andante Wide Pant

Andante is a musical term that expresses tempo and means "moderately and slowly". You
may have heard words such as allegro and presto, which express a rather fast tempo, while this andante means a slowness like walking.
TANNUKI's new signature model, the Andante series, was developed as clothing for running (or even walking) at a moderately slow pace. Of all the items we have produced, this is the item that can be used most seamlessly between outdoor activities and everyday life. We developed it

as wide pants that can be used for activities. It is not a slightly wide silhouette, but a firm wide silhouette. It is true that it may flap on windy days. But it does not feel tight, it is relaxing, and above all, it looks very stylish. Combined with the lightweight material, it is also a point that it is fluffy and very light to wear despite the wide silhouette. There are
many wide pants in the world, but I think that it may be the lightest wide pants (although I have not compared). I don't think most casual brands that plan a lot of wide pants would go out of their way to choose a particularly lightweight material to make them (because it's not an item that aims to be lightweight in the first place), but in that respect, the Andante Wide Pants are based on a very lightweight material of about 100g per square meter, and the total weight is quite light at 230g.

The material is a newly adopted 100% polyester material with spring-shaped fibers (although it's not visible from the outside). The most distinctive feature is that it is both light and stretchy. It is very light to wear, yet stretches well and provides ease of movement. It is also water-repellent, so it is resistant to dirt and repels light rain well. On the other hand, the texture is natural, reminiscent of cotton, and it fits in well both in the mountains and in the city.
I searched Google for stretchy trail wide pants, but I couldn't find any products with that name at the moment.

Design
These are stretch pants with a firm, wide silhouette. Although it is wide overall, it has a slightly tapered silhouette when viewed from the front and side (not only is it beautiful to look at, but it also gives the impression of good leg movement). It goes well with both slim tops and tops with a loose, relaxed silhouette.
The front has deep tucks, which is a major point of the design. There are

large pockets on the sides that are easy to put your hands in and out of, a patch pocket on the right side of the back, and a zippered pocket in the center. The zippered pocket is convenient for storing cell phones and valuables, and is also packable, making it easier to carry. The
U-shaped logo is placed discreetly on the left side. The simple design makes it easy to coordinate and is suitable for daily use.

The waist is a combination of shirring and drawstring. These

wide pants are lightweight and comfortable to wear every day, whether you're on the trail, in your daily life, or on a trip.

-Material
Traditionally, in order to give a material stretch, polyurethane, which has the property of stretching itself, was often used. Polyurethane is an excellent material in terms of its elasticity, but it is also basically heavy, which is one of its characteristics and a functional weakness. On the other hand, many polyester materials are basically lightweight, but not elastic. The material we have adopted this time is made of polyester based on molecules with a spring-like, spiral structure, and is a material that has finally achieved both stretchability and lightness. And
this stretch, of course it stretches, but another major feature is that it returns firmly after stretching (called kickback). It does not stay stretched, but returns firmly. It feels properly folded.
In addition to this, it also has the inherent characteristics of polyester, such as ease of handling (of course it can be washed at home) and quick drying. Furthermore, by applying processing later, it becomes a super functional material that repels water.

And another excellent thing about this material is that it does not show its super functionality. Although it is a multifunctional synthetic material, it has a natural look and feels smooth and familiar anywhere. It does not look like it has many functions.
The natural texture of the pants is a perfect match for wide pants, making them a comfortable item to wear on the trail or in the city.

The fabric is made with a double weave, which means that the front and back have different weaves, creating an uneven surface, making them comfortable to wear and keeping you dry. It
also has UV protection, so it can be used to protect against sunburn.
